The Brief

Mumma & Beans Founder, Nicky, asked me to help her on a short campaign of Facebook Ads for her business. At the time, she’d been experimenting with ads but hadn’t seen enough of a return on investment to be confident that what she was doing was as effective as it could be.

Nicky has plans for the growth of her business and understood the impact Facebook/Instagram advertising could have to help with this growth.

Her brief to me was simple yet challenging! To run a campaign to attract new teachers to train as Mummas & Beans teachers so they can start a business in their area and also raise awareness of the brand to ensure teachers across the UK had a hot pipeline of customers.

What did we do?

Using conversions campaigns we drove traffic to new landing pages, built on Lead Pages.  We knew the ideal clients would be Instagram users so we created specific imagery for Instagram stories and tested different creative types.

We weren’t sure what lead magnets would resonate most with the audience so Nicky created a few to test and we soon found the winners.

Once the leads came in, Nicky then had the job of nurturing and converting them in their inbox.

The Results – Teacher recruitment campaign

The campaign exceeded client expectations and resulted in:

  • 155 leads
  • £1.28 cost per lead
  • x63.5 ROAS (return on ad spend)
  • 0.13p cost per click

In addition, the campaign resulted in:

  • 48k impressions
  • 1.4k link clicks

98% of the leads came from Instagram stories, just as we had expected.

The Results – Brand awareness for the business

The campaign worked incredibly well and resulted in:

  • 989 leads
  • £0.19 cost per lead
  • 0.09p cost per click

In addition, the campaign resulted in:

  • 124.5k impressions
  • 2.7k link clicks

What’s next?

Nicky will continue to run the campaign to generate more leads she can nurture by email.  She hopes to grow her team across the UK and will look to scale this campaign with my support to improve results even further.

We also ran a campaign to attract parents to become clients for her classes nationwide and Nicky now has a robust email list to nurture and create a good lookalike audience from.  Nicky will continue to monitor this campaign and will field in new ads to ensure they continue to bring in leads for her teachers.
